Secret Showing of The Undefeated For Lone Reporter?
William Collier
Correction from THE FREEDOMIST
Update: Apparently, there was advanced advertising for this movie on Thursday, July 14th, in the LA TIMES- an obscure listing- one line- and- perhaps someone looking for The Undefeated in Orange County may have allegedly found a listing for 12:45 am. In the article- Conor says he was going to a 12:45 am showing, but the ad lists the time as 12:01 am. Perhaps Conor may not be in collusion with a movie theater manager, but why, if he wanted to interview Palin Supporters, would he go a midnight showing that was barely advertised? We stick by our story that this was a rigged MSM event perpetrated by Conor Friedersdorf for the sole purpose of discrediting the movie’s weekend release and even Sarah Palin herself. Here is the story as we originally published it, along with a screenshot of the obscure listing for the movie:

Palin Movie- The Undefeated- meets MSM ploy to report an ‘empty theater’ at midnight, the night before the opening?
Did Conor Friedersdorf from The Atlantic arrange to have a secret showing of “The Palin Movie, The Undefeated” just so he could say “the theater was empty”?
Palin Movie- The Undefeated- meets MSM hoax to show ‘empty theater’ at midnight, the night before the opening?
Did Conor Friedersdorf from The Atlantic arrange to have a secret showing of “The Palin Movie, The Undefeated” just so he could say “the theater was empty”?
Orange California seems to have jumped the gun on The Undefeated movie, which debuts today in 10 cities in the US, with a special midnight showing for a a reporter from The Atlantic.
Conor Friedersdorf wrote breathlessly about an “empty theater” for a “debut.” The progressive journolist may have been told about such a showing but we know that nobody knew

The Federal government’s fiscal emergency is likely to begin in earnest this summer.
The trigger will not be entitlement spending. Rather, the driver of the fiscal crisis will be an uncontrolled $800 billion explosion in annual interest payments on the federal debt to potentially $1 trillion per year over the next five years. Such a super-charged ramp up in spending will more than offset even the most ambitious ideas now being discussed to reduce the Federal budget deficit over the next 10 years.
This conclusion is based on an extraordinary, but virtually unreported, testimony elicited by Congressman David Schweikert from financier and philanthropist Lewis E. Lehrman during Congressman Ron Paul’s hearings last week on Monetary Policy and Rising Prices. (Watch here.)
Schweikert noted his concern that the weighted average maturity of the Federal debt (WAM) was “somewhat dangerously short.” Lehrman pointed out that the average maturity of the debt is approximately four years and made the following startling point:

A ‘new urgency’ is how the New York Times, in a marvelous editorial this week, describes the rush to redefine the official kilogram. That famous weight and measure turns out to be what the newspaper describes as a cylinder of platinum and iridium maintained by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures. It is kept there under three glass domes accessible by three separate keys. It is, the Times notes, more than 130 years old and is what the paper calls the “only remaining international standard in the metric system that is still a man-made object.” The “new urgency” comes from the discovery that the official cylinder may be losing mass, which, the Times says, “defeats its only purpose: constancy.”
Of course, we could let the confounded kilogram just float. After all, we let the dollar just float, its creation and status as legal tender a matter of fiat, its value adjusted by the mandarins at the Federal Reserve depending on such variables as they from time to time share, or not, with the rest of the world and, in any event, as would have floored the Founders, who granted the Congress the power to coin money and regulate its value and did so in the same sentence in which they also granted the Congress the power to fix the standard of the other weights and measures, like, say, the aforementioned kilogram.
