Secret Showing of The Undefeated For Lone Reporter?

Correction from THE FREEDOMIST

Update: Apparently, there was advanced advertising for this movie on Thursday, July 14th, in the LA TIMES- an obscure listing- one line- and- perhaps someone looking for The Undefeated in Orange County may have allegedly found a listing for 12:45 am. In the article- Conor says he was going to a 12:45 am showing, but the ad lists the time as 12:01 am. Perhaps Conor may not be in collusion with a movie theater manager, but why, if he wanted to interview Palin Supporters, would he go a midnight showing that was barely advertised? We stick by our story that this was a rigged MSM event perpetrated by Conor Friedersdorf for the sole purpose of discrediting the movie’s weekend release and even Sarah Palin herself. Here is the story as we originally published it, along with a screenshot of the obscure listing for the movie:

The O’Donnell surge in Delaware has the ruling Class all a twitter about what to do to stop her. They’ve lobbed insults at her. The liberals are helping the Delaware GOP in their assault on her by trying to spread rumors she might be “gay”. They cried that a woman who once was in debt now has the gall to run for office, eliminating the overwhelming majority of Americans from their Elitist Ruling Class club. And now, they have only one last midnight hour argument they can lob, that she is unelectable in the general election. For fans of Ronald Reagan, you will recall the same things said about him before he won the CA governorship and then the Presidency.

Independents are breaking 3 to 1 for O’Donnell at this time but let’s live under the assumption that she will only recieve 65% of the Independent vote (this would be a Progressive MIRACLE in 2010). You must also note another statistic often ignored by the pundits. Despite Delaware’s Democrat leaning registration totals, in 2004 12% of Delaware Democrats went for Bush over Kerry and in 2008, despite the annointed one being at the top of the ticket, 9% of Democrats went for McCain. Historically, at least 9%-10% of Democrats vote for the Republican candidate regardless of ideological position.

In fact, when Joe Biden, Tom Carper and Mike Castle are out of the race, the edge goes to Republicans in Delaware. The 2010 election would be between Chris Coons, a Progresive Far-Left Democrat and O’Donnell who is a Conservative Republican. Over the years, Conservative Republicans (Bill Roth, Ronald Reagan, Pete DuPont) have won the day when they have run against those who are not one of the “Big Three”.

So what would the numbers say if 65% of Independents and 10% of Democrats voted for O’Donnell? Assuming that every registered voter turned out (which won’t happen) the numbers would be as follows:

How To Spot Potential Upheaval

There is increasing talk about the potential for civil ways and revolutions in multiple nations, including even the United States of America, and all across the U.S. we are seeing people build shelters for emergencies, and some of them are not worried about Moscow, as in the Cold war era, so much as they are worried about what Washington DC is doing.

Amidst all the hype and fear it is wise to keep your head on and examine the facts and the potential meaning of those facts in a dispassionate and objective manner, but before we can do that we need to at least have some idea of the “laws of cause and effect” which we should know and use in interpreting whatever facts we find.

How does one determine whether or not a given nation is on the path to upheaval, as opposed to a more minor and limited form of unrest or just a political shake-up?

While we do not attempt to give any specific answer for any specific nation or society, our readers come from many nations, we thought it would be useful to circle back to a theory of “revolution” espoused by Crane Brinton in 1938 which we think is useful as a starting point for asking and potentially answering this question.
