Death of the Big Oppresive Corporatists will not come from the people rising up with guns and bulhorns. It wil come from the overwhelming preponderance of technological breakthroughs that undermine the basic reason for welfare states, for international corporations, for large, centrally controlled systems to exist in the first place- that large systems can build widgets and develop widgets cheaper than small systems, and that it is better to get your stuff from the world because it lowers your overall cost of living (of course that model doesn’t begin to address the moral implications of endorsing slave labor by purchasing products from countries such as China that perpetuate slave labor)..
Now, moral issues notwithstanding, big system costs are increasing (transportation costs going up, ‘legacy’ costs built into systems, more regulations, taxes, etc) while small system costs are going down (though the next move by the big governments will be to levy oppresive taxes on small systems- or create oodles of regs that raise the entry cost for small business entrepreneurs- wait- they’re already doing that).
This article about the emergence of small car manufacturers is something we have been predicting for some time now, as large systems collapse (we’re for that), small systems will fill the void, and, with technological breakthroughs, will make large systems pointless, except to perpetuate the power of the international corporatists that run Washington, China, Wall Street, etc.
If democrats, not progressives (they are a lost cause because they’re still in love with Big Power over Local Power- they still think it’s the turn of the century when large systems really were more efficient) can wake up and realize that their leader, the Obamarx, is nothing more than a figure head for the International Corporatists that rule the world (not conspiratoriallly, just a natural concentration of power that occurs when small groups of people have access to vast reserves of power and capital, and can hide in the anonymity of large systems), then they will never join in the fight for Freedom and Sovereignty over Facsist control of world systems.
If the repubicans (the rank and file folks, not the international corporatists like Boehner and Mcconel that run the party) cannot put aside their social issues to focus on the underlying cause of so much discontent in our country, the ever-increasing concentration of power amongst a few non-political elites who seek only to manipulate markets to serve their family’s corporate interests, then they will lose their social rights AND their economic ones.
The common ground can be found in this question: Do you believe that these elite families should continue to run world affairs or should your villages run world affairs? We can argue, village by village, about how these villages want to run themselves…less govt..more govt…abortion rights..gay rights…let communities experiment..and the ones that thrive will be the models of success others will follow, or lose their customers (yes, we purchase govt service as customers, not as tax cattle) to ‘companies’, villages that run their affairs better than you.
Conservative and Liberals alike can be united under this cause, and it can also be a way to pull ‘traditional’ democrats away from the progressives who took over the democratic party. Let’s set aside abortion, gay rights, even gun rights, for now, (not amongst our own groups, but when we work with each other), to stop the progressives, a decidedly unamerican group of fascists seeking to hand power over to the collection of slave-labor perpetuators, whole families that have derived their incomes from death, murder, oppression, and slavery. After we destroy these families and all the institutions associated with them (like the Federal reserve) then we will negotiate terms for a peace amongst us regarding abortion, gay rights, etc.
Why do liberals and conservatives hate each other so much today? Because each side believes (and both have plenty of evidence to support their claims) that the others side doesn’t just want to protect its own ‘rights’, it wants to forcefully tell the other side how to live. Case in point, the gay debate.
On one side, people are calling for national amendments to the Constitution banning gay marriage. On the other side, people are trying to criminalize anyone who thinks homosexuality is wrong, and they want government to teach that homosexuality is a-ok.
The one side is telling gay people they are illegal, unworthy of living a lifestyle they choose (or inherit…a legitimate possibility) while the other side is saying not only should you not oppress us because we are gay, but you have to accept and LOVE us as well.
Both sides are equally oppressive, which continues to push each side to more dramatic moves under the mantra ‘the ends justify the means’. When you violate your principles of freedom of association, for whatever reason, you haven’t won anything. You’ve merely handed over your sovereignty.
I am a Christian who believes that homosexuality is a sin. But my belief stops there. I would openly befriend gay people. I would hire gay people. I would rent to them. I would defend their right to live as they see fit, but I will NOT stop saying homosexuality is a sin, and I will demand a government tries to arrest me for saying it. Tolerance is not acceptance. I don’t accept the homosexual lifestyle. I shouldn’t have to. I also don’t accept the headbanger’s lifestyle, but I totally believe these lifestyles (and all the other ones I don’t ‘accept’) are perfectly acceptable for whoever wants to live them, and I would not pass judgment on someone for being a headbanger….If they stole something from me I would. If they violated my rights, I would lose my tolerance.
But homosexuality and the other lifestyle choices (save for things like being a serial rapist..I don’t tolerate them) won’t in any way shape or form hurt me or my lifestyle choices. I think America is smart on this one, while we are against legalizing gay marriage (I’m against legalizing any marriage), we do believe that people who happen to be gay are just as capable and important to America as anyone else, and that people who target lifestyles for persecution, oppression, etc are far worst ‘sinners’ than the ‘sin’ of homosexuality.
Homosexual rights groups that seem to fall lock step with the progressives, because they rightly perceive them as their greatest allies right now, don’t understand that they are building up power bases that will, in due time, be turned against them. Once the progressives have complete control, homosexuality will eventually be outlawed altogether. Look at China, Russia, Cuba for models of homosexual tolerance amongst progressive-like systems. It doesn’t happen.
The progressives use issues like homosexuality and abortion to keep the rank and file liberals from seeing that the folks they are voting into power are NOT their friends. Their friends are world citizen billionaires, not you.
The republicans use the same issues to keep rank and file conservatives from realizing that they too are beholden to the world citizen billionaires. Conservatives learned that lesson since 2004, when they worked hard to elect a man who proved to be nothing more than a progressive (and no, not progressive-lite…progressive).
If any word in the english language needs to be criminalized it’s not liberal or conservative…those are american terms…it’s progressive….that’s a world system term. But the dems can’t readily abandon their progressive masters, for the conservatives would quickly attempt to criminalize the democratic party and liberalism in general.
Our unified enemy is the progressive plan to create a world government controlled by 20 or so families from around the world. Separate the progressives from the democrats from within your own party. Republicans need to separate the progressives from their party as well (Michael Steel, John Boener, Mitch Mcconell and the rest of the republican sleeze leadership).
As long as the progressives keep the real democrats and the real republicans from working with one another to defeat this foreign interloper with those famouse wedge issues, we will ALL soon be singing the world union anthem every morning, whether we want to or not.
